Synopsis

The Edge (1997) is Lee Tamahori's survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM. After a plane crash in the Alaskan wild, two men are left to face the wilderness, a man-eating bear and their own simmering distrust.

Billionaire Charles Morse (Anthony Hopkins) flies north for his model wife's photo shoot. The small plane hits a flock of birds and goes down in a freezing lake, killing the pilot. Charles and photographer Robert (Alec Baldwin) drag themselves ashore with no food and no way to call for help. Hopkins plays a man of books and trivia who suddenly has to build traps and fight to stay alive. Worse, he suspects Robert is sleeping with his wife and would happily leave him to the bear.

David Mamet wrote the screenplay, and beneath the survival story sits a duel between two egos. The Kodiak was played by a trained giant named Bart the Bear. Smart, brutal, and clear that the cold is less dangerous than your companion. Stream The Edge (1997) online on iFILM.
