Crimewave

Crimewave (1985) is a crime horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Sam Raimi made this feature with a screenplay co-written by Joel and Ethan Coen — before any of them had a major hit. Two cartoonishly violent exterminators-turned-hitmen knock off a burglar-alarm company owner and then go after his partner.

An unlucky nerd named Vic ends up at the wrong address at the wrong time and gets pinned for the murder. He narrates the whole mess in flashback — from the electric chair. The story piles on a glamorous girl, a ferociously jealous lover named Renaldo, and a chain of escalating disasters that Raimi shoots like a live-action cartoon. Bruce Campbell and Frances McDormand have early supporting roles.
