Synopsis

His father Arkady (Maximilian Schell) drove him out years ago and wants nothing to do with him. His mother Irina (Vanessa Redgrave) is dying. His younger brother Rubie (Edward Furlong) looks up to him, too young to see what that costs. Joshua checks into a hotel, but Brighton Beach is a small world and word travels fast. Every move he makes to stay invisible pulls him deeper into the community — and closer to a reckoning that will destroy what little is left of the family.
