Bridegroom

Bridegroom (2013) is a documentary directed by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason that you can watch online on iFILM. It follows Shane Bitney Crone and Tom Bridegroom, a young couple who built six years together before Tom died in a fall from a rooftop.

What happened after the accident is the real wound. Tom's family, who never accepted the relationship, shut Shane out — barred from the funeral, erased from the story of the man he loved. The film grew out of "It Could Happen to You," a clip Shane posted to YouTube that drew millions of views and became a feature about love, grief and how little legal standing same-sex partners had before marriage equality.
