Running Scared

Running Scared (2006) is a crime action thriller with Paul Walker that you can watch online on iFILM. Small-time enforcer Joey is told to make a gun disappear — the one used to kill corrupt cops — but by the end of the night the weapon has slipped right out of his hands.

It's stolen by Oleg, the kid next door, who just used it to shoot his abusive father and bolted into the city. Now Joey tears across nighttime New Jersey trying to find the boy and the gun before the Russian mob, the Italians and the police get there first. One night, one pistol, a dozen people who badly need it back. Director Wayne Kramer shoots it all in a hyper-stylized, comic-book register: acid lighting, jagged cuts, violence pitched somewhere between crime film and grim fairy tale.

Walker carries most of the runtime, with Vera Farmiga as a desperate mother and Chazz Palminteri and Karel Roden turning up along the way. The film flopped on release, then grew a cult reputation as an underrated, nasty little thriller. Stream Running Scared (2006) online on iFILM.
