Synopsis
Wonder Woman (2009) is an animated DC superhero film you can watch online on iFILM. It tells how Amazon princess Diana first stepped out into the wider world.
On the hidden island of Themyscira, the Amazons have guarded the captive war god Ares for centuries. When a fighter jet crashes off their shore, pilot Steve Trevor (voiced by Nathan Fillion) is taken prisoner. The queen decides to return the outsider to mankind, and her daughter Diana — voiced by Keri Russell — volunteers to escort him. Meanwhile Ares breaks loose and starts raising an army. Alfred Molina voices the war god, with Rosario Dawson as the Amazon Artemis.
This is one of the early entries in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line, noticeably harder and more grown-up than the usual cape fare. Director Lauren Montgomery uses the action to dig into war and the cost of peace. Stream Wonder Woman (2009) online on iFILM.
