Synopsis
"El páramo" (The Squad, 2011) is a Colombian horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jaime Osorio Márquez. Nine special-forces soldiers are sent to a remote military outpost lost in high moorland fog — the garrison went silent, and command assumes enemy action. What they find instead is one survivor: a woman wrapped in chains.
Nobody knows who put her there or what became of the rest of the men. Cut off from communication and short on answers, the unit starts collapsing from the inside. Distrust spreads faster than any visible threat. Márquez uses the isolation to turn the film into something genuinely uncomfortable — less a creature feature than a study in how fear of the unknown destroys a group.
