Synopsis
Miss Sloane (2016) is a political thriller starring Jessica Chastain that you can watch online on iFILM. It drops you into Washington's lobbying trade, where the most lethal player in the room rarely raises her voice.
Elizabeth Sloane is a cutthroat lobbyist who never loses. When the gun lobby tries to hire her to kill a background-check bill, she walks instead — joining a scrappy rival firm to push that very bill through Congress. What follows is trench warfare fought with surveillance, leverage and the quiet sacrifice of her own people. Mark Strong plays her new boss, Gugu Mbatha-Raw a colleague whose past Sloane turns into ammunition, while Sam Waterston and John Lithgow hunt her from the other side. The closer the Senate hearing gets, the harder it is to tell who she's really playing.
Director John Madden builds 132 minutes out of pure dialogue and bluff, and Chastain runs the role like someone who refuses to blink first. The ending flips the whole board. Stream Miss Sloane (2016) online on iFILM.
