Arlo the Alligator Boy

Arlo the Alligator Boy (2021) is an American animated musical you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ryan Crego. Arlo is half-human, half-alligator, raised deep in a swamp by an adoptive mother who kept the outside world at arm's length — until Arlo finds out his father lives in New York City and decides that is exactly where he needs to go.

The road from the bayou to Manhattan is the entire movie. Along the way Arlo pulls together a crew of misfits who each carry their own weight: people who have been told they do not fit and have mostly made peace with it. The voice cast includes Michael J. Woodard, Jennifer Coolidge, and Tony Hale, and the songs keep the energy moving through the whole runtime without breaking the story's stride.
