Crazy Heart

Crazy Heart (2009) is a music drama you can watch online on iFILM. Jeff Bridges plays Bad Blake, a washed-up country singer who once filled arenas and now plays bowling alleys across the dusty American Southwest.

Blake is 57. Behind him are four marriages, endless miles of highway and whiskey before noon. He sings for small change, sleeps in a smoke-stained truck and has stopped believing anything could turn around. Then a young reporter named Jean Craddock comes to interview him. She has a small son. He has one last chance to put himself back together. Maggie Gyllenhaal plays the woman who sees the real man under the drunk, while Robert Duvall and Colin Farrell stand at opposite ends of his old and present life.

This was Scott Cooper's directing debut, adapted from Thomas Cobb's novel. T Bone Burnett wrote the songs and Bridges sings every one of them himself. The track "The Weary Kind" took home an Oscar, and Bridges won Best Actor for the role. Stream Crazy Heart (2009) online on iFILM.
