He curses God and trades his soul for immortality. Four hundred years later, a lawyer from Paris is received at Vlad's castle and hears a love story soaked in blood. Meanwhile, a priest of a shadowy clerical order — played by Christoph Waltz — examines a female vampire locked inside a psychiatric ward. Two timelines, one ancient wound.

Zoë Bleu Sidel takes on the double role of the medieval princess and her modern mirror image Mina; Matilda De Angelis rounds out the cast.
