Synopsis
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006) is an Adam McKay sports comedy starring Will Ferrell you can watch online on iFILM. Ricky was born in a moving car, and ever since he has lived by a single word — winning.
The NASCAR driver and his loyal buddy Cal Naughton Jr. (John C. Reilly) have finished first and second for years, earning the fan nickname Shake and Bake. A mansion, a knockout wife, all the fast food he can eat — Ricky has everything a fearless dimwit could ask for. Then a Formula One ace from France, Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen), rolls onto the track: he sips espresso at the wheel, reads Camus, and passes the American on the outside. Ricky's swagger crashes hard.
Half the scenes between Ferrell and Reilly clearly grew out of riffs invented on set. McKay turns roaring engines into a jab at the cult of winning and flag-waving bravado. The cast also includes Amy Adams, Jane Lynch and Michael Clarke Duncan. Stream Talladega Nights (2006) online on iFILM.
