Synopsis
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) is the beloved family musical you can watch online on iFILM. Eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts rebuilds a wrecked racing car into a magical machine that can drive, float and even fly.
Potts, played by Dick Van Dyke, is a broke widower raising two children. With his kids and the charming Truly Scrumptious, he sets off in the living car for the made-up land of Vulgaria, where Baron Bomburst has outlawed children and wants the flying car for himself. A kindly toymaker offers shelter while the terrifying Child Catcher hunts the family through the streets.
Roald Dahl co-wrote the screenplay from a children's book by Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, and the Sherman Brothers of Mary Poppins wrote the songs, with the title tune earning an Oscar nomination.
