What We Do in the Shadows

What We Do in the Shadows (2014) is a New Zealand horror-comedy mockumentary you can watch online on iFILM. A documentary crew is granted access to film the daily routine of four vampires who share a flat in Wellington. They are centuries old. They still argue about whose turn it is to do the dishes.

Viago, Deacon and Vladislav have lived together for ages and never sorted out a chore rota. An 18th-century dandy bickers with a former Nazi sorcerer over the hunting schedule. Trouble is, clubs won't let them in without a host's invitation, sunlight is lethal, and freshly turned Nick keeps telling everyone in town what he has become. A pack of werewolves shows up too, doing their very best to stay calm.

Directed by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, who also play two of the undead housemates, the film grew out of their earlier short and went on to spawn spin-off series on both sides of the ocean.
