Bright

Bright (2017) is David Ayer's fantasy action movie you can watch online on iFILM. It drops a gritty cop thriller into a Los Angeles where humans share the streets with orcs, elves and fairies, and a routine patrol can run head-on into ancient magic.

Officer Daryl Ward (Will Smith) is stuck with Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), the department's first orc cop, distrusted by humans and orcs alike. Their night shift falls apart when a magic wand surfaces — an object that grants wishes and gets people killed. Dirty cops, street gangs and a ruthless elf named Leilah (Noomi Rapace) all want it, and the two partners who barely tolerate each other have to survive until morning together.

Ayer brings the street-level grime of his earlier police dramas into a setting where racial tension plays out through orcs and elves. Edgar Ramirez and Lucy Fry round out the cast, and the orc prosthetics took roughly three hours per actor to apply. It became one of Netflix's biggest original films of its era.
