Synopsis

The Outsiders (1983) is Francis Ford Coppola's coming-of-age drama you can watch online on iFILM. The setting is Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the 1960s, where a single street divides two worlds: the broke, slicked-back Greasers and the well-off Socs.

Ponyboy and his friend Johnny live on the wrong side of that line. One night a fight with a carful of rich kids turns fatal, and the two boys run, hiding out while they figure out what loyalty costs. Coppola packed the cast with faces about to become famous: Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Ralph Macchio and Diane Lane.

Adapted from S. E. Hinton's much-loved novel, the film bottled a generation of future stars before any of them were household names. Stream The Outsiders (1983) online on iFILM.
