Synopsis

Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) is Sam Raimi's fantasy adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Oscar Diggs is a fast-talking carnival magician peddling cheap illusions in dusty Kansas, until a tornado sweeps his hot-air balloon into the dazzling Land of Oz.

The locals mistake the con man for the wizard their prophecy promised, the one who will save the kingdom. Gold and glory for the taking — and Oscar (James Franco) would happily pocket the crown, if three sorceresses weren't blocking his path. Theodora (Mila Kunis), her sister Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and the gentle Glinda (Michelle Williams) each pull him a different way, forcing a swindler to decide whether he can become something better.

Raimi, the director behind The Evil Dead and the Spider-Man trilogy, built this Disney prequel to the Emerald City legend as a clash of styles: heavy CGI spectacle set against the hands-on sleight of a real stage trickster. The film opens in narrow black-and-white Kansas before bursting into widescreen color. Stream Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) online on iFILM.
