About

Synopsis

Seabiscuit (2003) is a Depression-era historical drama you can watch online on iFILM. As America claws its way out of the 1929 crash, an entire country falls for a stubby little racehorse nobody bet on.

The horse called Seabiscuit looked all wrong for the track. So did the men around him. Owner Charles Howard made his fortune selling automobiles after losing a son and a marriage. Trainer Tom Smith was a near-silent breaker of wild mustangs everyone wrote off as strange. Jockey Red Pollard rode half-blind and earned extra cash with his fists in backroom fights. Together they push the horse toward a one-on-one match against the unbeatable War Admiral, a race that pinned millions of listeners to their radios in 1938.

Director Gary Ross adapted Laura Hillenbrand's bestselling book. Tobey Maguire rides as Pollard, Jeff Bridges plays Howard, Chris Cooper is the trainer, and real-life jockey Gary Stevens appears on screen. The film drew seven Academy Award nominations. Stream Seabiscuit (2003) online on iFILM.
