Synopsis
Welcome to Leith (2015) is a documentary thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Michael Beach Nichols and Christopher K. Walker. In the autumn of 2012, a man named Craig Cobb moved to Leith, North Dakota — a town of twenty-four people, a gravel road, and no traffic lights.
Cobb started buying up vacant lots and recruiting followers. The residents slowly realized they had a committed white nationalist in their midst, one with a plan to flip the town's demographics and seize control of its local government. The handful of people who lived there chose to fight back. Nichols and Walker filmed it as it happened, and what they captured is stranger than most fiction — a case study in what democratic self-defense looks like at the smallest possible scale.
