Synopsis
"Land of Women" (Tierra de mujeres, 2024) is an Apple TV+ drama-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Eva Longoria plays Gala, a New York socialite who grabs her mother and teenage daughter and runs to a sleepy Spanish winery town her family left behind years ago. Carlos Sedes directs.
Gala expected a temporary hideout; what she found was a well of family secrets her mother (Carmen Maura) had kept sealed for decades, and a winery owner (Santiago Cabrera) who's blunt in ways Manhattan never prepared her for. The threat she's fleeing isn't entirely in the rearview mirror either — a pair of motivated debt collectors complicates the new quiet life. Amaury Nolasco and James Purefoy round out a cast that keeps things moving.
