Raging Bull

Raging Bull (1980) is Martin Scorsese's biographical drama you can watch online on iFILM. His brother Joey — Joe Pesci in the role that launched his career — absorbed years of suspicion and rage before their bond finally snapped. The title bouts are brutal, but the ugliest fights happen in kitchens and hotel rooms.

De Niro gained over 27 kilograms to play LaMotta past his prime and won the Academy Award for Best Actor. The film also took the Oscar for Film Editing. Scorsese later said making it pulled him back from personal collapse. The American Film Institute ranks Raging Bull fourth on its list of the greatest American movies ever made.
