Ser Duncan the Tall is a hedge knight with grand ideas and an empty purse. His armor is borrowed, his horse is tired, and his sword skills are a work in progress. On the road he picks up a sharp-tongued bald boy called Egg, takes him on as squire, and never asks too many questions about where the lad really comes from. What follows is a string of tournaments, road quarrels and scrapes that test two mismatched friends. The Targaryens still rule, and the last dragon is not quite a memory yet.

Adapted from George R.R. Martin's Dunk and Egg novellas, the show is directed by Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith, with Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell in the leads.
