About

Synopsis

Titanic (1953) is an American drama directed by Jean Negulesco — watch online on iFILM. The film stars Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck, with a young Robert Wagner rounding out the cast.

Julia Sturges wants out of her marriage. She boards the world's most celebrated ocean liner with her two children, slipping away without telling her husband. Richard finds out, buys a ticket anyway, and boards the same ship to fight for custody. While the couple circles each other in first class, the rest of the passenger list carries on — dances, flirtations, the usual rhythms of a luxury crossing. The date of departure is April 10, 1912.

The Fox production won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. What sets it apart from disaster spectacle is the focus on a family fracturing under pressure — with the iceberg arriving almost as an afterthought. Stream Titanic (1953) online on iFILM.
