Synopsis
Bad Taste (1987) is a gory New Zealand sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It marks the directing debut of Peter Jackson, who shot it over four years of weekends with almost no budget. Aliens overrun the seaside town of Kaihoro and start packing the locals into boxes.
The reason is grim and absurd: an intergalactic fast-food chain has picked human flesh as the next big flavor. A ragtag squad of government agents shows up to clean house, blasting, hacking and vomiting far more often than actually saving the day. Jackson plays two of the leads himself and handles most of the stunts. Money was so tight that the alien masks were baked in his mother's oven.
