Snowpiercer
Fight your way to the front.
Synopsis
Snowpiercer (2013) is Bong Joon-ho's Korean sci-fi thriller — watch online on iFILM. The year is 2031. A chemical agent released to counteract climate change turned the planet into a frozen wasteland within months. Every survivor lives on a single train that never stops circling the globe.
The back cars are a cage: overcrowded, barely fed, patrolled by enforcers. The front cars are a separate world of restaurants, luxury cabins and abundance. Curtis, played by Chris Evans, has had enough and starts pushing forward — car by car, fight by fight. Each section of the train brings a new obstacle and a new face: Tilda Swinton as the regime's bureaucrat, Ed Harris as the architect of the whole system, Song Kang-ho and John Hurt anchoring the rebellion.
The film is based on the 1982 French graphic novel "Le Transperceneige" by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette. Bong Joon-ho, four years before Parasite brought him the Palme d'Or and Oscars, already showed a sharp eye for class rage packed into a tight genre frame. Stream Snowpiercer online on iFILM.
