Synopsis
The Game (1997) is a David Fincher psychological thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Michael Douglas plays Nicholas Van Orton, a wealthy San Francisco banker — controlled, solitary, accustomed to running every corner of his world on his own terms.
On his 48th birthday, his younger brother Conrad hands him a gift certificate for something called CRS — a company promising a game tailored to its player, designed to jolt him back to life. Nicholas dismisses it as absurd. Then the strangers start showing up. Then things he can't explain start happening. Sean Penn appears sparingly as Conrad, but each scene shifts what you think you know. The rules keep changing, and distinguishing performance from genuine threat becomes impossible.
