Synopsis
Louie (2010) is an FX comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Louis C.K. plays a fictionalized version of himself: a stand-up comic in his forties, freshly divorced, splitting custody of two daughters, and living in New York City on a club comedian's income.
Each episode is its own short film. A first date that goes sideways. A conversation with his mother that spirals. A late-night drive to nowhere. C.K. wrote, directed and edited nearly every episode himself — which gives the show an unusual stillness; nothing is there by accident. Guest appearances from David Lynch, Chris Rock, Parker Posey and Ricky Gervais keep the tone unpredictable, swinging between deadpan comedy and genuine quiet sadness.
