Ted (2024) is a Peacock comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Boston, 1993. Sixteen-year-old John Bennett shares a cramped working-class home with his parents and cousin — and with his best friend Ted, a foul-mouthed, relentlessly lazy teddy bear who came to life after a Christmas wish years ago.

Seth MacFarlane created the show and voices Ted himself, picking up the character he first brought to the big screen in 2012. Max Burkholder plays John, Scott Grimes and Penny Johnson are his parents, and Ian McKellen turns up in a guest role. The series works as a prequel to the Ted films, filling in the messy teenage years the movies skipped past.

The tagline says it all: "You can't spell 'family' without FML." MacFarlane keeps the crude humor dialled up while sneaking in a coming-of-age story about a kid stuck with the worst possible role model. Stream ted (2024) online on iFILM.
