The series adapts Hugh Howey's novel Wool (2012), a fan-favourite of post-apocalyptic fiction that spent years on bestseller lists before Hollywood came calling. Showrunner Graham Yost — who built Justified from the ground up — turns the claustrophobic setting into a tightly wound political thriller about what happens when the people in charge decide the truth is too dangerous to share.
