That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (転生したらスライムだった件, 2018) is a Japanese anime series from Studio 8bit you can watch online on iFILM. Based on Fuse's manga, it follows Satoru Mikami — a 37-year-old Tokyo office worker who takes a knife for a friend and wakes up in a fantasy world as a blob of sentient slime.

Not the most heroic starting point. But the slime body comes loaded: Rimuru Tempest, as he names himself, can absorb and replicate the abilities of anything he touches. What follows is less "chosen hero saves the world" and more nation-building — Rimuru gathers goblins, wolves, orcs, and other outcasts under one roof and negotiates instead of fighting. Voice actor Miho Okasaki gives Rimuru a curious, unhurried energy that carries the show through multiple seasons and a theatrical film. Director Yasuhiro Ito keeps the pacing loose enough for comedy but tightens it whenever the stakes rise.
