Rivals (2024) is a British drama series you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from Jilly Cooper's novel of the same name. The story drops into 1986 England, when independent television was flush with cash and even more ambition. David Tennant, Aidan Turner, and Danny Dyer lead the cast.

Tony Baddingham runs a regional TV franchise and can barely stand his neighbour Rupert Campbell-Black — former Olympian, sitting MP, and serial charmer. What starts as a personal grudge pulls in wives, mistresses, rivals, and bystanders until the whole county is taking sides. In the 1980s, deals get done in boardrooms and bedrooms. Nobody can quite tell the difference.
