Adam Clay keeps bees. Quiet, off the grid, barely noticed. When the elderly woman who gave him shelter is driven to suicide by a phishing ring that drains her life savings, Clay moves. He is, it turns out, a former operative of a covert organisation called the Beekeepers — a unit that answers to no court and no elected official. FBI agent Verona Parker (Emmy Raver-Lampman) is ordered to bring him in before he burns everything down. Josh Hutcherson plays the smug young heir running the fraud operation from behind layers of corporate shell companies; Jeremy Irons is his cold-eyed fixer with White House access.
