Black Doves (2024) is a British Netflix spy thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Helen has spent years operating in plain sight: to the outside world she is the devoted wife of a senior politician; in practice she passes classified information to an organisation she barely knows. The arrangement holds — until her secret lover is murdered.

She calls in Sam, an old friend who earns his living as a hired killer, and the two of them start pulling the thread that ran through the killing, finding it connects to people with very little to lose by making problems disappear. Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw carry the series on the strength of a partnership that feels worn-in and watchful — two people who understand exactly what the other is capable of. Sarah Lancashire plays Helen's elusive handler, the character whose loyalties stay the least readable to the end. Directors Lisa Gunning and Alex Gabassi keep the tone tight and the winter London locations doing real atmospheric work.
