Söz (2017) is a Turkish military drama series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Yağız Alp Akaydın. Tolga Sarıtaş plays Yavuz Karasu, a seasoned soldier assigned to lead a twelve-man special unit tasked with rooting out a terrorist cell operating near the border town of Karabayır.

Every member of the squad carries something from before. Yavuz has just lost his fiancée in an attack; the mission gives him direction when he has none left. Dr. Bahar, played by Aybüke Pusat, follows the unit for reasons of her own — and stays when most people would have left. The show builds its tension through the weight these characters carry into combat, not through action alone.
