Synopsis
Fatma (2021) is a Turkish Netflix crime drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Burcu Biricik plays the title character — a quiet, unremarkable house cleaner whose husband vanishes, leaving her with debt, grief and a string of old wounds she never dealt with. Then she starts killing people.
The series, directed by Özgür Önurme and Ozer Feyzioglu, is deliberately unhurried: no chase sequences or plot twists every ten minutes, just a slow, suffocating portrait of a woman with nothing left to lose. Biricik won the Berlinale Series Award for the performance, and it shows — Fatma barely speaks and you can't look away. Uğur Yücel plays the detective gradually closing in on her trail.
