Synopsis
The Good Bad Mother (나쁜 엄마, 2023) is a South Korean drama you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Shim Na-yeon for JTBC, the series follows Choi Kang-ho — a driven, ruthless prosecutor — after a devastating accident leaves him with the mental state of a seven-year-old child. His only option is to move back in with the mother he spent years keeping at arm's length.
Ra Mi-ran plays Young-soon without a single false note of sentimentality. She raised Kang-ho to succeed at any cost, and the irony of now teaching him to walk again, eat again, and feel again lands differently once you understand why she pushed so hard in the first place. Lee Do-hyun shifts between the regressed Kang-ho and flashes of the adult with enough precision that both the comedy and the heartbreak land clean. The tagline — "All mothers in the world are bad mothers" — turns out to be a question the show earns the right to ask.
