The Killing (2011) is an AMC crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Detective Sarah Linden had already planned her last day on the job in Seattle. Then a teenage girl turns up dead, and the case pulls her back in — week after week, season after season.

Adapted from the Danish series Forbrydelsen, the show runs three storylines at once: Linden and her partner Stephen Holder working the crime scene, the victim's family living inside the aftermath, and a mayoral campaign that gets tangled in the investigation whether the candidate likes it or not. Mireille Enos carries Linden with the kind of quiet intensity that needs no explanation. Joel Kinnaman plays Holder — a recovering undercover addict who has his own complicated sense of right and wrong. Directors across the four seasons include Patty Jenkins and Jonathan Demme.
