Synopsis
Unfriended: Dark Web (2018) is a horror film directed by Stephen Susco that you can watch online on iFILM. Matias buys a used laptop, opens it up, and finds encrypted folders that weren't meant to be found — videos shot in darkness that hint at something worse than anything on the regular internet.
He makes the mistake of showing his friends on a group video call. All eight of them are laughing and talking when someone on the other end of the dark web notices the files have been accessed. From that point on, the call turns into a trap. Closing the laptop, calling the police, going offline — each option turns out to have a price attached to it.
The film plays out entirely on one computer screen — every notification, browser tab, and cursor movement is part of the story — which makes a 92-minute runtime feel like a pressure chamber.
