Synopsis
My Little Girl (Kızım, 2018) is a Turkish family drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Gökçen Usta and Mustafa Şevki Doğan. Eight-year-old Öykü ends up alone in Istanbul with a letter and an address — the name of a father she has never met.
The man she tracks down is Demir (Buğra Gülsoy), a small-time swindler who just got out of custody and had absolutely no plans involving a child. He tries to get rid of her. She refuses. Beren Gökyıldız plays Öykü with a kind of quiet intelligence that makes every scene feel lived-in: this is a kid who understands more than she lets on and keeps a secret that changes everything. Meanwhile Candan (Leyla Lydia Tuğutlu) enters their orbit — a woman with her own buried history who fate seems intent on connecting to this unlikely pair.
