Synopsis
Crash Landing on You (사랑의 불시착, 2019) — watch online on iFILM — is a South Korean romantic drama series directed by Kim Hee-won and Lee Jung-hyo, starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. A paragliding accident in a sudden windstorm sends Seoul heiress Yoon Se-ri across the most heavily guarded border on earth, dropping her into the North Korean countryside with no way home.
The man who finds her is Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok — a reserved army officer from a powerful military family, who had every reason to report her and didn't. He hides her in a village near the demilitarized zone while the two work out how to get her back south undetected. Neighbors gossip, fellow soldiers grow suspicious, and enemies on both sides of the border are closing in. The geography alone makes this relationship impossible.
The 16-episode series aired on tvN in late 2019 and set cable viewership records in South Korea before finding a massive international audience on Netflix.
