Smiling Friends (2020) is an Adult Swim animated comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Created by Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel — who also voice the leads — the show follows two employees of Smiling Friends Inc.: the burnt-out, sarcastic Charlie and the relentlessly upbeat Pim. Their job is to make people happy. Simple enough.

Every call to the company hotline spirals into something stranger and darker than the last. A son who won't smile sends them into surreal territory fast. The series launched as a single Adult Swim pilot in 2020, went viral, and earned a full run. Gilbert Gottfried and James D. Rolfe appear among the guest voices, and the animation swings between polished and deliberately crude.
