Bluey (Seasons 1–3)

Bluey (2018) is an Australian animated series for the whole family — watch it online on iFILM. Created by Joe Brumm at Ludo Studio for ABC Kids, the show follows a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who treats every ordinary moment — a trip to the market, a backyard game, a rainy afternoon — as raw material for something epic.

Each episode runs about eight minutes and somehow covers more emotional ground than most hour-long dramas. Dad Bandit, voiced by David McCormack, is the kind of parent who fakes being injured so the kids have a harder obstacle course. Mum Chilli, voiced by Melanie Zanetti, is warm and funny and visibly tired in exactly the right way. Little sister Bingo tags along and occasionally out-thinks everyone. The writing operates on two layers deliberately: kids laugh at the chaos, adults catch the parenting moments aimed straight at them.
