Connect (Season 1)

Connect (커넥트, 2022) is a South Korean crime-thriller series with a science-fiction edge you can watch online on iFILM. Dongsoo keeps to himself — uploading music, avoiding people, barely noticed by anyone. That changes the night organ hunters abduct him and cut out his eye. The series is directed by Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike.

The eye goes to a serial killer. Dongsoo starts seeing through it. Not in dreams, not in flashes — a live, involuntary feed from inside a murderer's field of vision. Jung Hae-in plays Dongsoo as a man who has every reason to go to the police and every reason not to trust them. So he hunts the killer himself, tracking what he sees in real time. Ko Kyung-pyo plays a detective working toward the same target from the opposite direction.

Miike built a career on extreme material, and here he shows what he can do when he pulls back — the horror is in the premise, not the gore.
