Synopsis
The Wicker Man (2006) is a horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM — Nicolas Cage as a former cop drawn onto a remote island where the residents follow rules that have nothing to do with any law he knows. Edward Malus gets a letter from an ex: her daughter has gone missing on Summersisle. He flies out. The island is run entirely by women, organized around a pagan belief system the locals treat as absolute. Every question Malus asks earns a deflection. Every symbol he finds raises another question. The child does not appear.
The film has since become its own kind of cultural artifact — specific scenes with Cage have circulated online as unintended comedy for years, and the movie is now arguably more famous for that than for its horror.
