Planet Earth (2006) is the BBC's landmark nature documentary series — watch it online on iFILM. Narrated by David Attenborough, eleven episodes filmed across four years and 64 countries. No nature series before it had operated at this scale or with this budget.

Polar ice caps, equatorial jungles, deep caves, open deserts. The BBC Natural History Unit deployed high-speed and aerial cameras in ways that were simply not available to earlier filmmakers, capturing predator-prey sequences and mass migrations in detail that stopped audiences cold. Attenborough narrates without sentimentality. He lets the footage speak and steps in only to place what you are seeing in context.
