X-Men: Days of Future Past

The last survivors send Wolverine's consciousness back to 1973 to stop the chain of events that led to the Sentinels ever being built.

Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen share the screen with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence as their younger counterparts. In 1973, Logan finds a broken, reclusive Professor X and has to bust Magneto out of a Pentagon prison cell. The real trigger for everything is Mystique, whose single act of revenge sets history on its worst possible course. Peter Dinklage plays industrialist Bolivar Trask, the man behind the Sentinel program. The story is drawn from one of the most celebrated X-Men comic arcs, originally published in 1981.
