Return (2011) is an American drama directed by Liza Johnson — watch it online on iFILM. Linda Cardellini plays Kelli, a National Guard soldier back from a tour of duty who finds that coming home is its own kind of mission, and she is failing it.

The house is still there. So is her husband (Michael Shannon), her daughter, and the rust-belt town that hasn't changed. Kelli has. She can't explain what happened overseas, can't slot back into the life that waited, can't stop drinking enough to figure out where to start. John Slattery appears as a man on the edges of her unraveling. Nobody in the film makes a speech about PTSD — Johnson lets the silence do the work.
