The Ancient Magus' Bride (魔法使いの嫁, 2017) is a Japanese fantasy anime from WIT STUDIO and Production I.G — watch it online on iFILM. Fifteen-year-old Chise Hatori is sold at a slave auction and purchased by Elias Ainsworth, a sorcerer who is very much not human. Atsumi Tanezaki voices Chise; Ryota Takeuchi brings Elias to life.

Elias gives Chise a home, an apprenticeship — and a title: his bride. For a girl raised on rejection, the world of British faeries, spirits and ancient magic turns out to be the first place that feels like it could belong to her. Two seasons, 48 episodes of 24 minutes each, span her slow, unsteady climb toward something like hope.
