Synopsis
Double Date (2017) is a British horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Benjamin Barfoot plays genre-blending seriously — what starts as a knowing rom-com setup turns into something with a real body count. Danny Morgan and Michael Socha play Jim and Alex, best friends with very different approaches to a night out.
Jim is turning 30 and has never slept with a woman. Alex volunteers to fix this. When they meet the beautiful sisters Kitty and Lulu — played by Kelly Wenham and Georgia Groome — it looks like an easy win. It is not. The sisters have a very specific reason for picking Jim, and it has nothing to do with romance.
Dexter Fletcher shows up in a supporting role; Dougie Poynter from McFly rounds out the cast. Barfoot's debut is sharper than it sounds — funny until it suddenly isn't, and committed enough to the horror side to actually earn the blood. Watch Double Date (2017) online on iFILM.
