Nancy buys from local dealer Heylia and her nephew Conrad while clients quietly multiply — lawyers, accountants, PTA regulars who keep their vices tucked behind freshly mowed lawns. At home it's no simpler: teenage son Silas chases one romantic disaster after another, younger Shane reads philosophy and asks for antidepressants, and brother-in-law Andy installs himself as a permanent, unhelpful houseguest.

Creator Jenji Kohan built eight seasons around one sharp idea — that respectable suburbia and the drug trade run on the same logic of supply, demand and looking the other way.
